At the risk of being boring, you have answered my question on how to get two pics in a split screen. But is it possible to >save as< or print them.At the moment one or the other is >highlighted< which means only one is saved or can be printed. Thanks!!!!!!!!

You can do a screen capture, which will save exactly what you see on the screen, or selected parts. I find the Windows XP screen capture to be somewhat limiting and use a very useful free program:

Or you can use a program such as Word and insert each picture side by side, and save and print. I am assuming you do not have a program such as Paintshop which will do this easily, but even so it should be straightforward in word.

I haven't used Microsoft Works for ages, and just to make sure I did a test run in Works Word. Very easy.
Open a new document - file - page setup. Under the 'source, size and orientation' tab, click 'landscape'.
On the top row of icons you can see a little 'postcard'. Hover over this and you will see it says 'insert picture'. Click this, select your first image.
Alter size if necessary, and click the icon again to select the second image.
You can resize and move the images about.
Save and print as usual
