what the hell is my msn doing??? 7.5 wants me 2 download live

Hi every, i need some help i will end up picking up my pc and throwing it off the desk. early tonight i had 2 turn my pc off at the mains as it had frozen and i couldnt move the mouse. got back on and i had 2 install my wireless thing again because my pc is linked to the one downstairs, and i tried to log onto msn as u do and a message comes up a newer version is available you cannot go any further without downloading windows live chick here to do it now, ive said no and it will not let me sign in so i downloaded live and it just stays on the sign in thing for 15 minutes not even doing anything so i super annoyied and delete it off my pc and download 7.5 again and AGAIN THIS BLOODY MESSAGE COMES UP im inthe process atm of downloading live again. im so annoyied and hate live messenger how do i keep my old 7.5? just l;eave it and try tomorrow ot what?
