Freeview problem
8 Answers
For the past few days, I have been able to get all the Freeview channels, with the exception of ITV2, which informs me that the channel is unavailable. I have tried switching the box off overnight, but still ITV2 does not come up...no picture, blank screen, with the message as previously mentioned. Strangely, further on, ITV2+1 does come up. Is anyone else having a problem with ITV2 on Freeview? Is there anything I can do to retrieve it, or is it a channel problem. Any suggestions would be most welcome, but please be advised, I'm not technologically minded!!!!!

I found the tuning button on the menu, went through the auto tune...all was well, the picture came up and stayed up..until I pressed the Back button, and within seconds, the screen went totally black, no channel unavailable message..nothing! I tried it again, same thing happened. I tried going into the Manual setting, and the same thing happened. I've printed off your answers, and will go back downstairs and try again. Is it time I got Sky+!!!
Could be one of these:
1. Cannel is unavailable in your area.
2. Software problem, try updating your software. (usualy in configuration menu)
3. If your not getting any sound or any messages of any sort whilst your on that channel, its most likley a software problem. Just update the software on your box and re-scan. It should be fine after that. Otherwise don't even consider sky, you can get all the sky channels for free legaly if you have a bit of equipment and a tv licence.
Anyway, try the above.

We have success!!!! Thank you all so much for all your suggestions. I went down the list, doing what was recommended, and the channel came up...and stayed up! I'm so grateful for all your help.
Wix, I'm intrigued with your comment regarding sky. The only programme I would like is Sky 1, but that's not available with either Freeview or the Virgin equivalent..
Anyway...a huge thank you once again. Cheers!
