Loss of Help Files

I have lost all the help files. Help & Support is missing along with the help files from Exel and Word I am using Windows XP. The Acer computer has it,s own start up disk with XP on it and to re install means loosing all the other data. Can someone help.?

Try going to your start button, then to the service called run, type in: services.msc
Now, find help and support in this list, what is it's status? Startup type?
You can try disabling and then re enabling it.
Set it to automatic and it should just work again, if not set it to manual and search for the service to start it manually.

Thanks. Tried but still no good. Must of deleted a file along the way by mistake. Might have to re install. C Boy
