Saving computer files

I need to clear my hard drives and start again. Yet to buy a memory stick - but how on earth do I put in the stuff I want to keep, and not the rest?

You put the memory stick in the USB port and it will show as an extra drive.

Right click on anything you want to save it - and click 'copy to'.

You can do that with individual files or folders.

I hope you are not intending to back up programs and operating systems to the memory stick
