movie downloads

I just recently started downloading movies from ez-movie.net and the movies are great but when burned to disc it won't play on my dvd player, it plays fine in my pc though. What do I need to do to get them to burn right so can play on dvd player? Im not very good with the techinical words used with computers so if someone can answer with as easy instructions as possible that would be great. LOL Thank u so much for your help and time.

What Burning Software are you using? If you have Nero, it will automtically convert the movie for you, but it can be very slow. I use a program called WinAvi to convert my movies to DVD, it is very quick and will convert about 1GB in about 30 minutes, and because it is then converted, Nero will only take about 5 minutes to burn it to disc.
