thanks for the replies guys just signed up for the O2 site which givs u 30 free texts per month which will do me just fine!! p.s I tried the cbfsms.com the other day but unfortuantely it wont accept aol users but thanks anyway!

if its to INSIA.www.sms.vaartha.com gives unlimited free sms to all mobiles in india.

When I was on Orange I could, I think it was at the Orange site, and there was no limit, but as I was pay per minute at the time it was no benefit to me so I didn't use it or remember the details. But there was definitely unlimited use for all users of Orange, but at least Virgin have free news and voicemail, which I use a lot more.

Orange changed a little while ago. You log onto www.orange.net and once you've registered your Orange 'phone online (it's free) you get 30 text messages per calendar month. (As opposed to every lunar month).
