New Stereo

People, I'm trying to decide the best hi fi/stereo to buy. I want to play CD's, connect Ipod, radio etc etc. No sure if i intend on keeping old taps therefore it may/may not be necessary to have a tap deck.

I want good sound ie sub woofer - but don't want to annoy the neighbours, easy to use and possibily connect to pc etc.

Anyone out there got any idea what I should buy - lhappy to spend some money but nothing that requires a mortgage!!!
