We have a wireless network with laptops setup for open and WEP enabled in the settings but windows keeps changing it so it forgets the settings.

Any ideas on how to stop windows changing the settings?

Many thanks

I can't see how Windows is changing your router settings.

Could it be somebody outside, if your access is open? I can get on to my neighbour's wifi admin pages and change the settings very easily.
Im not sure I completely understand the question, but something you could try is go into the properties for the connection and on the wireless network tab deselect use windows to configure my wireless network settings.
some routers have the option to "optimise signal integrity"
(generally by finding a free channel)

Actual Speed: 54 Mbps
Channel Selection: Automatic / Manual
Channel: 1

but that's the router ... not windows.
is this what you mean? .... or are the laptops themselves losing the settings?

btw
Eth is right you should enable as much security as you can depending on laptop options
and password protect router/wap
