I've just bought a Motorola KRZR K1. My only issue with it is that if I miss a text coming through, I get no indicator to let me know that I've one waiting to be read, ie there is no little envelope visible on the display, and the only way I can check is by opening the flip, when all becomes apparent. I have to have my phone on silent a lot of the time so I don't have the benefit of the 'reminder' beep either.

I can't see that I've missed anything in the set up, or in the handbook. Is this just an annoying quirk of this particular phone, or is there something I can do?
