How do I stop Searchweb2.com loading when I start Internet Explorer?

I have bbc.co.uk as my Internet Explorer 'home page'. Trouble is, whenever I open Internet Explorer, I also get another window across the bottom of my screen, a sort of 'pop up' I suppose, which is from 'searchweb2.com'. I do NOT want this pop up. I presume it is not linked with bbc.co.uk, so must have somehow become configured into my computer (my teenage daughter used to have the full searchweb2.com page as her home page when she accesses Internet Explorer from her XP profile). Any ideas about how to get rid of it?

Yes you have spyware in your computer - Download and run Spybot Search and Destroy and this will rid you of that. Google it though because I can't remember the address for it sorry!
~I had a similar problem and spybot worked a treat see question 46023
Be aware that Ad-aware also has spyware built in.....I would recommend using Spybot which is available in 1.3 mode at http://www.download.com
I run Adware and have a similar problem - if i want to try Spybot do i need to uninstall Adware or can they both exist ' side by side ' ? Please advise .
I think you can instruct Spybot to ignore adware, but I'm not 100% sure how
spybo will always work fine with ad-aware, but sometimes ad-aware can clash with spybot. if you get what i mean. what you have to do is to instruct ad-aware not to search within archived files as it finds spybots recovery list.
