my touchpad stopped working today. 1 second it was ok and then it wasn't. i have checked and it is still enabled and it says it is working fine. should i uninstall the driver and reinstall?

it is an acer laptop and is 2 years old. the touchpad is a synaptics v5.9 one and the driver is 7.12.3.08 oct04

Update the driver might be a workable solution. Try OSToto Driver Talent and it might find the compatible driver for you. http://www.drivethelife.com
