Is it possible to convert an MP4 to MP3- such as a little phone film to sound only?

mavis- I bought this for �17 but can't get it to do anything!! The box appears but when I click on the file I want to convert I get an error message. It says I need to install appropriate decoders or the file is corrupt. It's not corrupt, I'm sure. It is an MGP4 file- recorded on my Nokia phone and put on the computer. When I send it (email) it is sent as an mp4, so it is an mp4. Any ideas?
