Site so slow?

I have been using this site for a few weeks now and find it so interesting. However, I do have one major bugbear with it - why is it so slow? I have a 8MB connection at home and I also use it at work, but always have the same issue with pages not loading or having to wait ages to do so. I never seem to have this problem on other sites, only AB. Anyone know why? Does anyone else have this problem?

YES! I thought it was just me and it's been particularly bad this evening. I usually use Firefox and that's been playing up lately so I've used Explorer tonight but I think it's Answerbank itself which is the problem today.

I am gald it is not just me too! Never mind, it is worth persisting with. I have had this problem though since I have been a member. I thought maybe it is due to the number of people on here but as I am on here all hours of the day and night as I work days and nights it cannot be the case at 3am!

you know the majority of people who have 8mb broadband dont actually run at 8mb, most people run at 3 to 4 mb.

It is running slow tonight , and actually went altogether this afternoon when I couldn't even get any page up so gave in for a few hours. Anyone seeing me shake my mouse in vain would laugh :-) x

same for me, for several days now. It's not you, or IE or Firefox, it's AB. Email the Ed or post under AB Suggs so she can hear about it. According to her blog she's under the impression it's running like greased lightning these days.
