Yellow exclamation mark on my DVD-R/CD rewriter combo drive

This may be a stupid question, but here goes......

In my device manager, under hardware, I have a yellow exclamation mark over my DVD-R/CD rewriter combo drive (HL-DT-ST RW/DVD_GCC-4244N), my laptop recognises the drivers for this hardware, but seems to insist that there is no hardware there to use the drivers with???

ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!

Please? Can anybody help???
