lost .exe association

not so much a question as advice to others on a problem i encountered--after a spybot scan it found a file extension hi-jacker--although i cleaned it i could no longer run .exe files--if u get this then do this:-go to the following link http://filext.com/faq/article.php?id=016 and on the right side u will find a file--WinXP_EXE_Fix.reg --or --Win98_EXE_Fix.reg download the one for ur system and run it--when it asks if u want to make the changes it has to the registry click yes--i did this and the problem was cured instantly
