My sons K800i was put on charge and it looks like the infa red? was on (there was a red light on the side of the phone), when we took it off charge the battery had blown-it feels like the walls of the battery have come away, its not solid.We have tried a new battery bit it will not work, does anyone have any ideas what might have happened to it??Thanks

could be down to a mains surge
or just a faulty battery

if you've tried another battery without joy
... it's possible that the surge was passed on to the phone when the battery blew out.
worse news
Batteries are rarelt covered by guarantees ... even quite new ones.
Maybe
it's worth contavting the shop /sony ... there have been lots of cases of faulty Li-Lon batteries recently ....
