Since today I have been unable to connect to msn, msn explorer, hotmail, or secure parts of other websites (I can view the home page of facebook but when I type my details in and press enter it takes me to the "page cannot be displayed" that is all too familiar to me.

I tried system restore and this didnt help. I restarted pc a couple of times but still same. My modem is working correctly. So I ran Network Diagnostics for Windows XP and the report highlights the following problems:

Network adapter identification
WARN: This machine has more than one Ethernet or more than one Wireless adapter

HTTP, HTTPS, FTP connectivity
WARN: HTTPS: Error 12169 connecting to www.microsoft.com: The supplied certificate is invalid.

WARN: HTTPS: Error 12169 connecting to www.passport.net: The supplied certificate is invalid
