PS3 80gb from Hong Kong

If I buy a new PS3 80gb from an Ebay seller in Hong Kong will there be any unforeseen consequences or a downside that I cannot spot? Will it work ok in Europe, or will I need any extras? Why can't I buy an 80gb here, or even a 60gb?

The 80Gb has never been released in Europe, and the 60Gb has now been discontinued.

The 40Gb has just been released but does not offer backward compatibility to play PS2 games.

There is a rumour that a "new" 80gb PS3 is coming out in Europe early in 2008.

Hopefully it will be the genuine article. There are lots of fakes sold from the Far East.

it will because i bought a PS2 from Hong Kong and it works perfectely. I hope this helps
