Hope somebody can help...up until about 6 months ago I used to be able to play my mp3 files in itunes and route it through my hifi system...but it seems to have stopped working. The mp3s play on the computer OK but just won't go through my external system. All the connections are 'connected' and if I route the mp3s through Windows Media Player it works fine on my stereo system...is there something I'm missing here? Do I need to tweak something in itunes? I'm completely baffled! Many thanks in advance to anybody who can help.

Do you just have a cable plugged from your headphones port on your computer to your hifi's AUX input?

Or are you using something more flashy like the Airport Express?

Hi - no - nothing flashy - just a cable connection from the back of the computer to the aux sockets on the hifi - which as I say - works OK with Media Player
Cheers
Then I'm stumped!

Try downloading the latest iTunes from apple.com, and see if it changes any of your settings.

But just playing the music shouldn't be interrupted...
