digiboxes and satellite

please could someone tell me the best way to get a better reception of bbc1,2 itv 3 and channel 4? I just have a normal outside aerial and reception was ok until this year. someone said get digibox and satellite. any ideas exactly what would improve reception please?

hi, you always get a freeview box, the reception is a lot better, and if your aerial is pointing the right way, you have it made, plus of course you will also get all the extra channels..

boosters also boost interference ! satellite will give ua perfect picture - the best youve ever received !

However, you do need good reception to get a digital teresstrial picture. So if your current analogue reception is ropey, Freeview may struggle to cope. And an arial upgrade may be required.
