Changing Phones...

Hi all, I'll be switching from a sony ericsson w810i to either a k850i or w960i. Trouble is, I've got old text messages and photos on my current phone which mean quite a lot to me and I'd like to be able to switch them over to the new phone. As I only change phones every few years I have no idea how to do this, I really don't want to lose the texts. Can any let me know how I could go about transferring them please? I'm sure its something stupidly simple...
