Windows Explorer has started to sometimes freeze on my computer running XP. Also it will only show files beginning A-K in some folders but when I use Word or Media Player to open files they are definitely in that correct folder.
What programs are available to do the same job as Windows Explorer? (But not MS)

I use mozilla firefox and its better than explorer
winfile
Firefox is an internet browser like Internet Explorer not at all like Windows Explorer which is a file manager
Winfile...? I thought that was Windows 98 name for File Manager.
Here are some alternatives...

...although it may prove beneficial to investigate why Explorer is acting up in this way.

Brilliant, now using A43 which is much quicker. Not solved the file finding issue but hopefully won't crash.
IE and WE are very similar programs and can do some of the same things. I use Firefox mainly.
Thanks
If you think IE and Windows Explorer are similar Billy, you have a very strange computer indeed. One is a browser, the other a file manager. How odd!
I'd agree with Kempie, something much deeper at foot.
well i use Mozilla fire fox. it works much better on my computer. And actually internet explorer freezes on me too. but now since I had Firefox it never freezes on me.
