Internet Radios

I want to get a WIFI internet radio as I live in a very bad area for conventional FM broadcasts. I have BT broadband at home. Does anybody know how much "data" an internet radio uses as it is streaming from the internet? I m wondering what impact it will have on my monthly download limit as I will probably use it several hours most days. If anybody could recommend a good internet radio device I would be grateful. Thanks to anybody who answers!

I just did a test by downloading a radio broadcast for one minute. It downloaded 1.1 megabytes.

If you are on BT option 3 you don't have a download limit.

Even with Options 2 - 8GB per month - or even Option 1 - 5GB per month - you should not have a problem unless you are downloading lots of large files too.

do the sums
1.1Mb/m = 66Mb/h x 5=330Mb/day x30 = 9.9Gb/month
this blows both option 1&2 before any other useage

'tinternet radio is only viable if uncapped

I tried BBCradio4 for 1 min and used 3.6Mb/m

don't forget freeview and sky (presumably virgin and cable)do radio as well
