is it posible to get an address from a uk telephone number and if so wear would i go to find it ?

Not legally it isn't.

There may be agencies who offer to obtain such information, though how they obtain it I don't know. Most service providers have strict security systems in place that electronically "fingerprint" access to such information from their databases and I know that BT will dismiss anybody found divulging such information improperly.
