Regarding MacBook 13 inch does anyone know whether Office 2007 can be installed and if there is a way to save documents as a PC compatible versions.

1) Apple computers use Mac OS X, not Windows. There is a version of Office for Mac OS X, but you can't just put your Windows install CD in the Macbook and have it install Office.
2) There exist free alternatives to Microsoft Office. One very popular suite is called OpenOffice on Windows, and NeoOffice for Mac OS X.
Either way, both can read and write compatible files. While the system is different, both handle .doc files (for Word, for example), so both can read and write PC compatible versions.
