PC won't auto run

can anyone please tell me why when i put in a dvd or when i plug my camera into my computer it won't automatically run like it used to do. TIA

right click on the DVD drive | properties | autoplay

for the camera
plug it in .... right click | autoplay

then choose the action

Well as you haven't mentioned what operating system you're using, I'll assume XP.

Click on Start/Help and Support
In the search box, type: Autoplay
Click the arrow to the right of the search box
Under Pick a Task (left column) click Change how your computer handles multimedia comment
Follow the instructions in the window on the right
