Is it true that if you have the basic virgin media tv package you can buy one of these boxes...

is there a catch? will the box work indefinatly? or will it quickly need updating / chipping ?

what else should i consider / do i need to know before purchasing one ?

Yes they do work, but for how long is anyones guess, but it is against the law to aqquire channels you have not paid for
