Hi, I have Virgin cable broadband and after problems with a wireless connection to my PC in another room I have now sorted it out with Homeplugs! However, I want to be able to use a laptop wirelessly (like I previously was able to). So how do I hook up the router with the Homeplugs to do this? I tried connecting the Virgin modem to the router then plugging the router into the Homeplug but it didn't work. Thanks!

Not sure I follow you old chap!

if the homeplug works ... you connect a wap (wireless access point) to the homeplug plug your machine into one of the switch ports on the back of the wap ... and then connect the laptop to the WifI.

Thanks but I'm still stuck. By a 'wap' I presume you mean my Netgear Router?
This is what I have: Virgin Modem in lounge plugged into Homeplug. PC in conservatory plugged into Homeplug. Works fine. BUT, if I then do what you say, i.e. connect the Router to the Homeplug & plug the PC into the back of the Router, I get.... NOTHING. It doesn't connect. And so, of course, there's no broadband for the laptop to connect to either.... HELP!
