Hi,

I'm trying to import data from an excel worksheet into an Access table. Unfortunately the data does not start at cel A1 but at cell A6. For some reason, when I try to define this as "Sheet1!$A$6:$A$146" the ! is converted into a $.

Any idea why and any ideas as to how to get around this would be very gratefully received!

Cheers

Have you tried without the absolute cell references?

"Sheet1!A6:A146"

The problem I'm having is that it is converting the ! symbol into a $. This is unfortunately cropping up whether I declare absolute cell values or not - I don't know if it's a bug on my version or not as all the forums and advice has the ! included in the code!!
