virus

On my other laptopi think i have a virus. It has xp on it when i start it up it goes to the screen were you click on your name to load your account then a little box pops up. It just has a red x in it then two options saying yes or no but whichever you press it just logs the user off ang goes back to the screen were you click on the user you want. any body got any ideas on how to fix it?

timing is everything... when booting up press f8 (before the windows logo on black screen

go to safe mode and see whats set to run at start up look for a folder called startup (search) only your judgment can tel you what to delete quite often it will end .exe
