erm! you've answered it your self.
Go to my computer, select your Hard Disk (generally labeled C:), right click and explore, open windows folder, open font folder and stick it in there.

thanks
SA has correctly answered your question.

However, it occurs to me that many downloaded fonts arrive on your PC in a compressed format (with a .zip or .rar file extension). If so, remember to unzip the file first. (Double-clicking on the file will launch your unzipping software, which is built into XP or Vista. Then choose to extract the file to your Fonts folder, or extract it to somewhere else and then move it into the Fonts folder).

The previous paragraph only applies if your new font arrives as a zip (or rar) file. If the file extension is .ttf you can simply put it straight into the Fonts folder.

ok this is the other other way ;-0
(I just want to play with the big boys .,... and girls !!!)

we seem to be assuming XP ... which should suport zip files ... so however you do it ... open the zip (if it exists) and put the .ttf file(s) in a folder on your hard drive (don't just bung it onto the desktop) (c:\fnt - or somesuch)

open control panel
in category view (I hate category view!!)
select "Appearence and themes"
in the left pane ... "see also" .... click on fonts.

in Classic view
select "fonts"

then
file | install new font ...
find the folder ... and bob's your aunt.

(I've got to admit I do it SlackAlice's (and bue too's)way - but ... what the heck!)
