Best thing to do is to get a quote from the phone shop for a new one and submit it to your insurers. You may not get the money for it but they will supply you with a replica if you are covered under your contents insurance.

a bottle of water in my handbag leaked all over my phone the other week - 48 hours on the radiator sorted it out although the display is a little paler than before. Not all contents insurance covers mobile phones - mine specifically excludes them and I got a separate policy - so check what it says. However if you just want a basic phone you can buy them for about 30 which is less than what your premiums would go up by after a claim. If you want a super snazzy phone you'll have to weigh up the cost of one new against the excess payment and increased premiums on your contents insurance.
