Broadband internet connection with PC and laptop- problem
0 Answers
We have a broadband cable connection through VirginMedia (was orginally fitted by NTL). It is connected by cable to our main PC. We also have an Actiontec wireless router which enables us to access the internet at home on our kids' laptop. I expect this is a common set up in many homes.
The problem we have is that the broadband connection cuts out regularly . To get it working again and we have to unplug the router or the PC/router cable on the main PC and then plug it back in again, and sometimes log off teh main PC then log back in again..
If we are using just the main PC it happens perhaps once every hour, which is irritating but manageable.
But when we use the PC and laptop simultaneously we lose the internet connection on both every 15 minutes or so and it drives us mad. The only way to reconnect is to unplug and replug the cable on main PC or log off and on the main PC.
Do other users have the problem and does anyone have a solution? Cheers
