i have now bought a wii, and a friend has told me it is possible to surf the internet, just like a computer. But i cant find how to do it, its all set up to the internet as its just performed an update. is it a channel i have to buy?
can anyone enlighten me please?

You have to buy the browser from the Wii shop, it's around 500 points if my memory serves me correctly.

IMO it is pointless - use the computer - it's much easier
