We have problems with space on our computer so I regularly (every couple of days) delete all temp internet files as I use ebay a lot. However, when I went to do this tonight, it came up with a message asking if I was sure wanted to delete "cookies". I've never had this message before so I'm not sure why it's suddenly come up with it and I 'm not sure if it's ok to delete them or not. I don't even know what cookies are! I clicked on no and it deleted all the other files but has left a long list of "cookies".I deleted the ones I could see were rubbish but don't know what to do about the others. If I leave them and don't need them, they'll just clutter up the computer. Help!! Please!!

Temporary internet files also help to load pages that you've visited before in superfast speed. I am sure there is a option in IE where that you can alter to % of space allocated to the temp. Int. files.
Why not get a bigger hard drive? They are so cheap nowadays. You can even get some very small external ones which run through your USB port and are quite fast. Keep your fixed HDD for working and the spare for storage.

Most with lots of space but the Program Files drive and we don't know how to change how much space to allocate to which drive! we have partition wizard but even if we knew what to do it's passworded and we don't know the password! We keep meaning to get someone in to sort it out and teach us housekeeping but you know how it is...!
