I saw a few films on You Tube where cats were being spanked. Are there other cat owners, who have found their cats like this, or is it quite unusual?

Most cats seem to get a certain amount of (sexual?) pleasure if you scratch them just above their tail. I'm not sure whether either male or female cats get a greater amount of pleasure from this (and I've never felt the inclination to find out if the same response is received from attention below the tail).

Some years ago I read in a magazine that some cats liked being patted like a dog. I had three cats at the time so I tried it. Two of them definitely did not like it but the third loved it and would stand for ages while I patted him.

actually, we have 2 cats and they both like to be really hardly patted on their lower back.but i wouldnt spank your cat, just pat it.
