Windows Media Player

Hi
I am having a problem viewing DVD's on media player. I have sound but no picture. When on task manager is says programme is not responding.

I also have a problem when trying to watch BBCi player. It stops soon after and gives an error message.

I dont know if this is 2 problems or if they are connected.
Please can anyone help?

It usually solves the problem of video but no souns, but you never know!
