Gateway Notebook

I have recently bought a ( Used )Gateway notebook Model number MX8716B . The card reader on it is not working and is not listed in "my computer "hardware list , I suspect this may be a driver problem . I have searched for a driver to download to try and solve the problem but no success.
Gateways site was no help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found recently on a dell that the intel chipset driver was needed for the card reader to work

The thread you gave came up trumps . The problem was solved in no time . A quick vist to my Device Manager and a couple of mouse clicks done the trick.
