I recently had an accident with my laptop which left it
unusable. I have bought a new machine and have also
signed with a new ISP, the problem is how can I access
the numerous unread e-mails from my old ISP with my
new ISP.
My old ISP was AOL.
My new ISP is BT broadband.
Any help will be much appreciated.

You can either log on to your AOL account online and read your mails from there or you can create a mail account in outlook or similar and get them that way - as long as you can still get emails via AOL. Sometimes when you cancel your email address is no longer active.
Try mail2web in google
You usually lose your AOL email address when you terminate the contract, unless you pay them to keep the email addresses.
