Have you ever been fined? If so what for and how much?

I'm at the library and I just got fined for a late DVD hire. I hired it for my niece and she forgot to hand it back. �18 quid....I'm raging!!!!!

yer couple of quid here or there on dvds, I;m sorry to say that if it was your card your responsibility to take it back. But still try get money off her :-)

yeah, I suppose it was my responsibility, but she is so going to pay it back...she'll be doing chores for the next month lol.

I'm always getting fined up here, I think I pay the librarians wages!!!

I got out of a parking fine by writing a lovely letter saying that I had to park in a residential bay as I felt very sick and needed to find a toilet and didn't feel safe to carry on driving!

Worked!!!!! Ha Ha Ha (evil laugh)

P.S I do not condone illegally parking, but I didn't see the residential parking sign due to being a bit ditsy and didn't think that was a good enough excuse!

I didn't even think about it. I just handed it over with some books and the woman perked up "there's a fine on this DVD". Or I might of did that logic then I could of ran down to tesco to buy another one. LOL
