Old Blue Peter Recordings

I wondered if anyone had a couple of old Blue Peter recordings, one from 1995 and one from 1999. Both of them feature a boy choir which I think would have been called either Angel Voices or St Phillips choir.. The sang a number called "Libera" in 95 and "Salva Me" in 99, I do have these already, but they are very poor quality and Im looking for something better. If no one has these, any idea of how I can get hold of them?. Many thanks...

St Phillips Choir/"Angel Voices" have evolved to become "Libera" and their website is http://www.libera.org.uk/off.htm Details of their CDs are there, and I believe a new one is due shortly.

Thank you for your reply hertz, but the problem is, the videos I require are not available on the official site. What I am looking for, is for someone who may have recorded Blue Peter over the years, and has got the original recording. I have been lucky and come across recordings of Angel Voices/St Phillips Choir/Libera dating back to 1988, and although I do have copies of the videos I want, they are not very good quality and therefore Im looking for something better.. You are quite right about there being a new CD out soon, its going to be called "Free" and will be in the shops on the 27th Sept.. Libera will also be performing a track from this new CD on SoP on the 5th Sept..

I have recordings of these though, like yours, the quality is not very good. The 1995 Libera is 4Mb and 99 Salva Me is 3Mb. They are not from an original recording which is why the quality is poor. I forget where I found them. I'm not sure whether  the quality would be better than yours since they probably came from the same source.

Are you a member of Yahoo? I run a group there about Libera and could easily put those files in my Yahoo briefcase.

One question. Do you think the 1995 Libera was a live performance on the show?

Which are the 1988 recordings you have? The only ones from 88 I have are 2 versions of Sing for ever. I have found only one prior to that - 1984 Top of the Pops San Damiano where they were backing Sal Solo.

Thank you for your reply David, this question was really for the benefit of a friend of mine, I know he already has the two poor quality recordings you talk of, but was hoping to find someone with the original recordings.. Ive seen both of these videos, and in my opinion the Libera one I think was performed live.. If it wasnt live, they mimed it extremely well..
