still waiting for the boiler to get fixed

Posted a comment over a week ago about my boiler being broken and didnt have any hot water or heating and some abers gave me a hard time saying is that all, well its 12 days on from that comment and i have as yet not got it fixed, got a phone call today to say they are meant to be coming out this afternoon after i went into the housing and kicked off again, should have been on training day had to cancel, they left me 2 heaters one didnt work and the other ate the electric, i have to go to the gym to get a wash, hang on the guy has just turned up but it isnt looking to promising he has had to ring the original guy to ask what the problem is bloody workmen!!!

No sadly or i would get some money for the phone calls and the time i have wasted waiting in, and the cold and i could go on and on, have a complaint form to fill in but dont think that will make any difference

No, do it puddicat and if you don't get a response, write to them again, and also write to your housing associaton (if I got that bit right) it's disgraceful!

Thanks hellie, went thru my housing assocation last week also there was a bank holiday that ruled out another 2 days, yes i think i will, but was talking to the girl in the office, and she said that this company was bettter than most, the problem is that they take the cheapest tender, and us its us poor sods that suffer!!

you get priority ..anyone else sadly has to wait ..

Oh , you poor lass , I do know what you're going through though , I was once without my boiler for 3 weeks while the faffed around with parts .

Doesn't matter that they were the cheapest tender, they should still provide an adequate service.
Seriously, you should hound them and tell them that if it isn't sorted you will organise someone to do it and take the cost out of your rent, I've started doing that with my letting agency and it seems to be working :)

Well he got the boiler going ooooooooh the waft of heat! then he said that it needed another part, given up now he said that he didnt know how long it would last without it, so now he has gone off to do another things and his coming back later! and then i am having to sit in again in a couple of days for b......y service!!!!

Have you got a neighbour who can
let him in ? or a friend or family member ?
You should have locked him in your home
as a hostage until someone came with the
new part !!! At least you on on the way to
being fixed ....

I hate paying for all types of insurances, but I can firmly say that the British Gas insurance is fantastic. We have always had next day service and this cheap insurance has saved us money on many occasiions.

They are so good that we have our cooker and washing machine covered by them, and the problems we have faced with our washing machine would have meant a fortune being paid out. With British Gas again, next day service all parts covered. Brilliant!

spaced we dont pay for the upkeep of the heating etc so we cant decide who they have for the servicing contract, suppose it comes out of my rent just about to go around to the local office just around the corner to tell them whats happening

Poor you puddi -that sucks.Thing is that gas men and plumbers (sorry if there are any reading)- have you by the goolies cos there arent enough of them so they are like hens teeth and they know it.

I hate incompetance like that -but the more you hassle the more inclined they are to put you to the bottom of the pile -lose/lose situ.

Think is they wont o the work unless there is someone there -I even went out to scutter round my garden as some fools were trying to tune in my tele -I was getting really bored and on eof them came out and said we cant do anything else unless you are in the same ROOM as us -FFS.I know they have probab;y been accused of things before but not obly having to sit for hourrs waiting for them you then have to sit and watch them -grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
