Sorry I should have said that I have tried as per the instructions and it is still not loud enough, any ideas?

If it's your own tone ... how about using audacity to up the levels
http://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/audac ity_portable

but such a tiny speaker has limits ... over the limit ... and it will just sound bad ... not louder
