Hi
I work in an office which has rules on accessing the internet between certain times of the day. Hey, you try and stay out of ebay if you item is ending soon :-) Anyway, is there a way of deleting the cookies index which is locked by the system administrators? I have downloaded system wiper at home which works great, but cannot shift the cookie trail in work. Any ideas? (please be constructive, no people saying 'you shouldn't be doing it the first place, har, har') There is always one of those isn't there? :-)

As you don't have administrator rights it is going to be very difficult, but in any case I expect they can see exactly where you've been and when irrespective of cookies.

My router has a log which shows all the internet sites every pc connected to it has been to, for example.
I should think (tho I know every firm is different) that there would be some leeway on personally accessed sites, ie so you can check personal mails, surf a bit during breaks etc. Obviously, any abuse such as over use of such sites when you should be working, or visiting of porn or worse, will be recorded.

As Ethel says tho, you won't be able to hide it, or change it.
