A fairly new sky+ box (2 months) and Channel 4 keeps freezing / pausing - no other channels do this. I would put it down to the weather, but seeing as its dry, sunny and there is no breeze whatsoever - anyone got the foggiest what might be up?

is it really only channel 4

Hows e4 and all the other 4's like more 4 etc?

They all come from the same satellite so if ones bad then they should all be really.

(that was I nice reply for me to type, normal 4 key on this laptop don't work!!!)

By jove, do people watch those channels, just found them for the first time, and you are quite right.

So do I have to phone Cape Canaveral to get the satellite repositioned then?

ps, it was a very nice reply, completely coherent this time!
thanks, I do try to be fairly coherent down here in my specialist section...

you probably need your dish very slightly realigned, there are 5 (if I remember rightly) astra satellites that supply sky and they are all fairly close proximity to each other and it sounds like your dish is slightly off line so it's not getting a strong signal from one of them.

Bleeding nora! does this mean the man from sky has to pay a day time visit to my wife again?

He must have fixed it up with some cellotape in Feb then for it to have moved already.
I used to do satellite installs (until a fall from a ladder gave me a phobia of ladders!) and we always used to say the sky man would come in and install it and then you'd get somebody to install it properly, The problem is the sky installers have to get so many jobs done in a day they just don't have time to do it 100% properly.

If you can get easy access to the dish your self you could try nudging it a few mm (thats all it'll need) up/down/left/right and see if you can get it a bit better your self.

If not get the guy from sky out and say you can't get several channels and they will come and realign the dish again.
