burning movies with Nero Vision

Hey, I downloaded a movie torrent. normally i get a single avi file, put that in nerovision it burns into a dvd. this time i managed to download a zillion rar files, when i unzip them they're all copies of the same movie. i can watch them on my computer, but can't burn it on nerovision. when i drag the unzipped avi file, it comes up with an error message.

"unable to prepare data for recording. prepare session failed. transcoding of videos failed."

Can anyone help?
