Cancelling sky

I want to cancel my Sky subscription and watch free channels if possible.

Can my existing Sky box / dish be used? How much will this cost me?

I have a Sky+ box. Will I still be able to record programmes?

If you have had your dish and box for over 12 months, it is then owened by you and you are free to watch free channels using this equipment.

I don't know if the recording part will work on the box though.

Tell them you want to retain the Sky+ features and they will send you a different card and charge you �10 per month

We have a Sky box and dish but do NOT contribute to any of their channels. We are still left with about 150 free channels. We have now added Freesat to our reception. The same dish can be used but you can change the single LNB output to a quad LNB which gives 4 outputs. The Freesat SD box costs about �40 but if you want HD the box can cost up to �150.

The easiest way to receive all free channels is to have a set which automatically receives free channels. All you need is a good channel 5 aerial. I know the sets are more expensive then ordinary ones, but at least you do not need an extra box at all.
