Desktop shortcut

I use e-bay very often but am fed up with having to go to favorites etc. so how can I get a desktop shortcut, I have tried going to the home page and saving as desktop but it wont let me do it ....

Right click on your desktop and choose new shortcut.
Type in http://www.ebay.com
Choose a friendly name for it.
Done!

Pedantic, I know, but you could equally as well open the e-bay website, right click anywhere on the open page, select "create a shortcut", et voila!...

You can also drag and drop the shortcut straight onto the desktop from the Favourites drop down menu in IE.

Hold down the Control key before dropping it so it copies rather than moves.
