Deleting everything on computers..?

My computer has loads of junk and programs on that won't un-install and i was wondering how to delete everything because nothing will work! is there a program already in the computer to do so because apparently there is and its called unpack it?? plz help!

Do you want to delete everything off your computer? Or just the junk programmes?

best way is control panel>add/remove programs to get rid of useless/unwanted stuff. if you want to get rid of everything then you need to perform a clean and re-install which if you are running xp is fairly easy to do but of course you will lose EVERYTHING !

yes i want to delete everything completely, not just the junk! trouble is i only have windows 98!

The best way is to reinstall Windows. Or you could try format c: This would wipe the drive, but you wouldn't have windows anymore.

You would if you then re-installed it after formatting which is the normal procedure.

You will need to make a boot up disk (floppy). As already mentioned, format C then reinstall.

ok, that sounds good but... im rubbish with the technical side of computers, if anyone could give me step by step instructions (!) i would be v.v.v. grateful!
